If you’re considering becoming a New Life partner, the first step is attending our Membership Class. It’s a simple, meaningful way to step into deeper community, greater purpose, and shared mission—right here in Ashland and beyond.

  • What is it?

Membership isn’t about joining a club or checking a box—it’s about partnering with Christ’s mission and saying “yes” to being part of what God is doing through our church. When you become a member, you’re choosing to live out your faith in community and invest in something bigger than yourself.

  • What should I expect?

During the Membership Class, you’ll learn about our history, vision, and core beliefs. You’ll also hear from our pastor or instructor about how membership creates opportunities to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact. Members may be considered for leadership roles and have a voice in key decisions within our church community.

  • What are the details of the class?

The Membership Class is a single two-hour session, offered quarterly on either a Wednesday evening or Saturday morning. There’s no cost to attend, and no pressure to join—just an opportunity to learn and explore your next step.

  • Who can become a member?

You’re eligible for membership if you are:

    16 years or older

    A follower of Jesus Christ

    Baptized by immersion*

*Baptism isn’t required to attend the class, but it is required before signing the membership covenant. New Life offers baptism opportunities throughout the year—let us know if you’d like more information.

  • Why does it matter?

When you become a member, you’re expressing your commitment to support the vision, live out the mission, and uphold our core values:

    Sharing hope with the world

    Investing in the next generation

    Building authentic relationships

    Developing strong leaders

It’s a step that helps you confidently live out your calling while being supported by a church family—and it connects you to the bigger story God is writing through our community.
