Why Do We Give to Kingdom Builders?

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. We believe that Jesus calls us to radical generosity, so we give out of the gladness of our hearts.

  • I want to be a Kingdom Builder! How do I do that?

GREAT! Thank you for partnering with us. Here are your next steps:

    1. PRAY. Ask God for direction on how much to donate above your regular tithe.

    2. SUBMIT a Kingdom Builders' Pledge form. Paper cards are available from our ushers any Sunday or you can tap the button with the Kingdom Builder’s description to submit an online pledge.

    3. CONTINUE TO PRAY. Throughout the year, our global missionaries and local projects rely on the prayers of other believers! We are happy to provide a list of names/projects if you want to go deeper by lifting up each person, family, or project by name.

  • When are pledges due?

Kingdom Builders' Month takes place every October and is when we share KB testimonies, introduce missionaries, and ask our church family to commit to or reevaluate their pledge for the next calendar year. This is our annual KB reminder and generally we like to have pledges in by the FIRST SUNDAY OF NOVEMBER.

If you are new to our church family, you can submit a Kingdom Builders pledge anytime. Likewise, if you are a regular attender and have never turned in a pledge or want to edit your pledge, you may submit a pledge card/form anytime during the year as well!

  • If my pledge amount stays the same, do I still need to complete a form each year?

Yes. Please submit a new pledge card/online form each year by the 1st Sunday of November.

Why we ask you to do this:

Pledges are donations above your tithe and provide an opportunity for us to stretch our faith. Your pledge should be something in which each donor seeks God for direction. We believe He will guide each person/family on the amount to pledge and creativity on ways to raise the funds they've committed to.

Your situation may have changed from last year and we have no way of knowing that. Updating your pledge (either higher or lower) allows us to base our annual KB budget on actual data, not guesses or estimates.

Your pledge card acts as a record of your commitment. Anyone can adjust an amount on a check or automated debit - and we appreciate that - but without the pledge card, we can't count on that to create a working budget.

  • I submitted my pledge... now what?

Regardless of whether your pledge is brand new, the same as previous year, or has changed at all, please follow these instructions:

For online giving through Realm, please login or create an account, then enter/edit the amount you donate to Kingdom Builders. Most people set up recurring gifts, but you can give once, or varying times throughout the year - its up to you!

If you submit checks or cash, please use one of our blue offering envelopes and record your name and the specific amounts on the outside of the envelope. New Life provides these at NO cost to you upon request or you can pick one up any Sunday from an usher or at our donation containers in the sanctuary.

NOTE: New Life cannot divide your donation without you specifying, we are required to count undesignated gifts as a tithe, and it is deposited to our general fund.

If you use bill payment through your bank/credit union, you will need to make the adjustment directly through the auto-payment options; contact your banking institution with questions.

  • Can I just opt to give to Kingdom Builders as my tithe?

We do not recommend this. Your faith will be built and developed as you trust God with your 'first-fruits' aka your first 10% tithe. We are happy to speak with you one-on-one if you would like to discuss this more. We understand everyone's financial situation is different and you may have your reasons, but as your church home, please allow us to provide Godly wisdom in this decision.

  • What happens if I’m unable to fulfill my pledge?

There is no legal obligation connected to your pledge; we trust our donors and rely on your word.

We do not charge late fees.

We do not report to collections or credit agencies, nor do we have the authority/ability to do so.

If you cannot fulfill your pledge amount, please talk to us. Situations change...we recognize that people move away, health issue occur, jobs/income changes, etc. Talking to our pastoral staff helps both YOU and New Life to determine if this is a time to adjust your pledge amount, remove your support, or taper off your pledge over time. Our pastors would be happy (and honored) to pray with you and encourage you to seek God's direction on what to do next.

  • Does New Life pay fees on gifts made online?

    Sometimes. Here's some clarification:

ONLINE GIVING: When you select set up a one-time gift OR recurring donation, you'll have the option of using your bank account's debit card or an ACH deduction directly from the account.

The ACH deduction does not cost New Life any transaction fees.

A debit from a card does incur a small fee. If you choose the card option, you can help your donation go further by checking the "cover the fees" box when you process any online gift.

BILL PAY through your bank: When you set this up through your banking institution, New Life is NOT charged any fees. The gift is deducted from your account and mailed to us as a check. When you choose this option and its usually provided as a free service by your bank as well! Please contact your bank for more info.
