Adversity and Perspective!!!

One time I was asked what my favorite season was and I immediately
replied, "Baseball!!!" :D I love baseball!!!

I remember watching a baseball game -- one of many!!! :) A line-drive foul
ball was hit up the first base line. The ball-boy out on the right field
line merely stood up from his little stool and the baseball glided right
into his glove!!! It was a perfectly fielded foul ball by a young amateur
ball-player!!! The fans cheered!!! They even replayed the foul ball play
by the young boy. I watched that boy and imagined he was thinking, "I love
my job!!! I love my job!!! Don't you wish you were me? I love my job!!!"

Then about 2 pitches later, the same batter hit another foul ball up the
first-base line but this one had more bounce to it. The young bat boy
jumped up to field the ball coming at him, and he bobbled it as it bounced
around and hit him in the face and he fell over. Humiliated, he stood back
up, reached for the ball lying next to him, and tossed it into the crowd.
As he sat down, gloomily, on his little stool, all I could imagine that he
was saying was, "I hate my job!!! I hate my job!!!"

Isn't it amazing what adversity can do to our perspective?!  But look what
God instructs us to do:

"So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ,
act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along,
eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in
front of you. Look up,
and be alert to what is going on around
Christ--that's where the action is.
See things from His perspective!!!"

~ Colossians 3:1, 2 MSG

Look up!!! Be alert to what God is doing!!! Life happens all day -- But
God is > !!! I choose to see things from God's perspective -- filtered
through His Word, grace and love!!! Shout Now!!! :)
